CULOTTES

I’ve had a long distance love affair with culottes for awhile. Always admiring their beauty and chicness, but was not sure to make them mine. Not sure because they are one of those pieces that you have to get exactly right or it can be a HUGE fashion mistake. One must consider leg width and length when finding a pair that compliments their body.

I would say that high heels should ALWAYS be considered when choosing a pair of culottes, but you can also wear them with flats if you're gonna work all day.

Some days ago while I was in New York I went for a Subway ride and decided to wear my black pair of culottes for the first time and here is the result.

I paired it with a sleeveless white shirt with a little black bow, red high heels and a leather jacket.

What do you think of it?? Hope you like it!!

Hace un tiempo que tengo una relación de amor a distancia con los culottes. Siempre me encanto como quedaban puestos, lo chic que son, pero no estaba segura de hacerlos míos porque me parece una de esas prendas que tenes que tener claro como usarla o puede ser un error ENORME. Hay que considerar el largo y ancho de la pierna cuando buscamos un par apropiado para nosotras que favorezca nuestro cuerpo.

Considero que siempre deben ser acompañados por tacos altos, pero podemos elegir un par de chatitas si vamos a trabajar todo el día.

Para esta ocasión elegi combinarlos con una camisa con moño negro, tacos altos rojos y una campera de cuero, que les parece??

NYC NEVER SLEEPS

Night strolls around the city...

I just LOVE spending my nights in New York walking around the city.

Specially in nights like this one before the cold weather settles in for good.

I also love all white outfits like this one I'm wearing and it always look great to add details in other light colors, that's why I've chosen nude high heels and grey scarf.

The hat adds a boho vibe to the outfit which I think it's perfect to walk down the streets of New York.

PS: A lot of people wrote me asking to write in spanish too! I've been posting in english because most of the people who read me speak english and other languages, but I love that all of you guys get involve with my blog, so here's my post in spanish.

Me encanta pasar mis noches en Nueva York caminando por la ciudad, especialmente en noches como esta antes de que el frío se instale para siempre.

También me encantan los outfits completamente blancos como este que estoy usando en estas fotos. Siempre esta bueno agregarle detalles en colores suaves, por eso es que elegi zapatos de taco en color nude y una bufanda gris.

El sombrero le agrega un toque boho al outfit que me parece perfecto para caminar por las calles de Nueva York.
