Is It Cold Yet?

These past days have been crazy with the weather!!
We're in those days in which we're leaving warm temperatures, and starting to get used to the cold weather instead!! But the in between time it's exhausting most of the times!! It's so hard to pick the right outfit like that. If you think it's too cold and wear lots of clothes, you may end up burning yourself out! And if you don't wear enough clothes you'll end up feeling freezing, hard, huh??

So I've found out the master piece of clothing that you can't live without in days like this one, is the one and only PONCHO!!! yes, the poncho!!. It's so weird for me that the poncho is so trendy now, because I've lived all of my life wearing ponchos in my hometown, they're so famous there!! It's the most important item for a countryside outfit. You usually wear them with an specific type of pants called "bombachas", shirts and a beret.
It's really comfy to wear and it warms you up if you're cold, but it's also really easy to fold in and put away in any backpack if you feel hot.

This was my outfit for today that I went to have lunch with a really close friend of mine that is almost like my aunt and works in the UN.
If you're planning to visit the UN you may like to know that there's a guided tour all over there for just 18 bucks, which is really good! If you're not expecting to spend any money instead you can just walk around by yourself and it's completely free!! it's always good to now things like this! Don't forget to bring your passport as they're going to ask for it before letting you go in.

Talking about the food, if you're around there at lunch time, there are plenty of really good restaurants  to choose.
I'm a big fan of Italian food, so we went to an Italian restaurant called Cibo (767 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10017) in which you have really good pasta, pizza and salads.

When you're done with the UN, you can also go to explore the Grand Central Terminal which is just a few blocks away.
Now you know how to spend a different day in New York.  :)

Hope you enjoy it!!

Xx

Friday is for Faux Fur

Everything is good about fridays... isn't it??
Everything seems to be easier, more charming, and so. We see the world in colors! in a positive way. We even act like nice people on fridays! lol.
I think we should definitely try to use this "Friday Vibes" every single day of the week, and that way we're helping the world to be a better place.

Doesn't it happen to you, when you take the train back home during the week, after a long day of work that you wonder why people act so rude with you. It's not cool at all!! We all can be nice every single day and change the world if we commit ourselves to do so!!

Anyways, I'm so happy it's Friday!! which means that we can stay at home and do nothing or dress up a little bit and go out instead!. And that's definitely what I'm doing tonight!!.

As long as the cold temp is already in the city I have chosen to wear a faux fur coat that i really like. Pretty simple and yet so much going on! Leather leggings, tees, faux fur. The art of playing with classics, implementing statement pieces and creating unique looks by using everyday pieces, that's what's all about!!

Happy friday everyone!!!

Monochrome

I love Sundays!! just the other way around everyone else. It's a day to chill, enjoy ourselves, more time to dress up, longer sleep, and the BEST of all: Brunch in Meatpacking! That's my favorite kind of Sundays in NYC. For those who are visiting New York for the first time, make sure to visit the Meatpacking District. You'll definitely fall in love with it!!
My favorite spot is in 14 St, right under the High Line. You must visit it if you're near the city on a Sunday afternoon. You will love walking all the way though it's cobbled streets.
Talking about my outfit, pink is my favourite color since forever, everytime that I have to choose a color to wear I don't hesitate on picking pink!! Most of all if we're talking about a monochrome outfit!!
I think that the "color block" trend come and goes all the time. But if you ask me about a girlish, trendy and elegant outfit I would definitely go for a monochrome pink outfit, trust me, you can never go wrong with it!.
it's always a plus knowing how to choose the right accesories to take your outfit to the next level. I'm talking about this animal print bag, red shoes and black hat.
Never forget a little of red lipstick ;)
Happy Sunday!!

New York, New York

I’m a fashion designer from Uruguay. I moved to New York for a period of time a month ago, and I’m doing an internship at Monrowe Magazine in NYC. I really love doing this!!.
With this blog I want to share my point of view about fashion which I think it’s not just about what we see in Magazines and Fashion shows.
There’s a WHOLE world deep inside every collection and in my case is the best way to express myself.
This look that I’m posting today are from a photoshoot I did some time ago in my home town.
